DAVE HORNE

Dave Horne is a Manager with Cisco Systems, and works with the Solution Validation Services team to certify and validate code used in routers and multi-layer switches. Dave has been in the IT field for 17 years and has worked for AOL, VMware and the Department of Homeland Security.

Dave has been active in Habitat for Humanity and the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina for the past 14 years. Dave has always been passionate about higher learning and is an advocate for our troops being afforded the opportunity to pursue their dreams through education.

Dave is a graduate of Virginia Tech with both a BS degree and an MS degree in English Literature. Dave was born and raised in Wytheville, VA., but has lived in Cary, NC for the past 14 years with his wife and two daughters.

Fun Fact: Dave has held two Top Secret Security Clearances with the Federal government and was recognized in 2001 by Tom Ridge as a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security.
